In an effort to better connect with our community, the Freedom Area School District now has social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram! In lieu of a traditional district newsletter and through these accounts, which we encourage you to follow @FASDBulldogs, we hope to share district happenings in a more timely manner.
Parent Training Available
Attention parents of students with IEPs, GIEPs, or 504 plans! Freedom Area School District would like to invite you to join us on August 7, 2017 from 9am-12pm at the Freedom Area Middle School for an informative session regarding special education, gifted education, and Chapter 15 service agreements. This session will provide an overview of services and supports available to you and your child.
Space is limited, so please go to the following website to register for this session before August 1, 2017: http://tinyurl.com/FASDSE . If you are unable to register via the website, please call Marian Leo at 724-775-5464.
Additionally, if you have specific questions about your child’s IEP, GIEP, or 504, we will be scheduling consultations with the Director of Special Education and School Psychologist. Letter to FASD Community
Board President Jennifer Sayre and members of the administrative team met with a group of concerned parents in early June. Mrs. Sayre felt that it was important to respond to several of the issues raised at that meeting and in subsequent posts on social media. Please click here to see her Letter to the Community.
